The conference offers a huge number of resources and tools for congregations and their staff and volunteer leaders. An informational packet detailing these offerings is available to all churches and should be reviewed by all pastors, treasurers, finance chairs, and missions chairs—particularly as they step into their roles. The packet contains information about everything from conference staff contacts to apportionments to clergy benefits to conference events and communications to free tools. Those volunteering for the Minnesota Conference and/or one of its ministry teams can request reimbursement for expenses incurred on behalf of the conference—including meals, mileage, and lodging. To seek reimbursement, volunteers must fill out the appropriate reimbursement request form, have it signed by the leader overseeing the team or project for which the expenses were incurred, and mail it in to the conference office. Therefore, each year, it’s important for us to ask strategic questions and receive thoughtful feedback concerning our clergy and congregations and whether they are fulfilling this vision. Every Staff-Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) must evaluate its appointed clergy on an annual basis after referencing a "Ministry in the Minnesota Annual Conference" document and using a provided form, which must be signed by the clergy person, the SPRC chair, and the church’s district superintendent.
