Breakthrough Workshop: Compelling Communication
If you’ve ever wondered about how to effectively market your church, what makes a good e-newsletter, or whether live streaming worship makes sense for your congregation, then don’t miss our upcoming communications workshop!
This daylong breakthrough workshop is designed to give you tools to communicate more effectively with your congregation and community. United Methodist Communications and communicators from Minnesota and the Dakotas are teaming up to equip you with best practices, practical tips, and information that will help your church reach new people and better engage with your members through strategic and purposeful communication. We promise you will leave inspired armed with ideas and best practices to employ in your own ministry setting.
We’ll spend the morning focused on marketing and branding for your church—and then after a short lunch break, we’ll deliver mini workshops on e-newsletters, social media, photography, and live streaming. The live streaming session will not only help you assess whether this technology makes sense for your church, but also how you would go about setting it up.
There will be plenty of time to ask questions and to think about how the ideas you’re hearing about can be shared and brought to life in your congregation!
There are three ways to take part in this learning opportunity:
1. Bring a team to the in-person event at The Well, a United Methodist Church (14770 Canada Ave W.). This is the best way to experience the event and make the most of the material. Cost is $25 per person or $100 per team of four or more; this includes hospitality, lunch, and materials.
2. Gather a group to watch and participate in the program from Cross Winds UMC in Maple Grove (15051 Weaver Lake Rd.), where there will be a host and a person running the technology, or watch remotely from any location with moderately high-speed Internet access. Cost is $25 per person or $100 per team of four or more; this includes hospitality, lunch, and materials.
3. Watch the workshop remotely from any location with moderately high-speed Internet access. Register in advance so that we can get you the access information and materials. Cost is $15 per location.
